On the Deaths of Leaders

In one of those harmonic convergences of history, focussing on the death of Gerald Ford and Sadman Insane in the same week reminds us that it is idiotic to use show trials in an attempt to turn political matters into criminal justice matters.

Ford understood that, and Shrub -- duh -- did not.

As far as I'm concerned, the time to kill the sumbitch was when they found him in the spider hole.

Now I guess the Administration will use the upcoming Sunni riots to bolster their argument for more troops in Iraq.

Ever wonder why a Republican Administration deferred all the hard decisions about the War (troop increases, etc.) until a Democratic Congress took over?

Hopefully none of this stirring of the pot will disturb your plans and my wishes for all of us for a Safe, Happy, Healthy New Year.
